Axial Forced Ventilation

An axially mounted fan on the non-drive end shaft of the motor cools standard TEFC motors. This arrangement is ideal for cooling when the motor is operated at its design speed as the fan rotates at the speed of the motor's shaft. With the rapidly increasing use of inverters or AC variable speed drives, it is critical to use a system of forced ventilation to give the required cooling across the body of the motor. Insufficient cooling results in loss of output power, nuisance trips, and premature failure of the motor. All of these consequences result in machine 'down time' for the end user. Many motor manufacturers offer their own forced ventilation arrangements but as an expensive extra and additional space required. Our solution is innovative and very economical in comparison and saves up to 25% in additional space required. Delivery of the product is immediate. Adapters are available for most American NEMA motor manufacturers. Simply replace the existing motor fan cover with our force ventilation fan.
